What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, recognise you when you return, and provide a better user experience. Cookies may be set by the website itself or by third-party services (such as analytics providers or font providers).

Marketing website (aldercrm.com)

Our marketing brochure site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service. Plausible does not set cookies, does not collect personal data, does not use tracking pixels, and does not track individuals across sites or devices. It collects only anonymised page-view data to help us understand which pages are visited. You can verify this at plausible.io.

We may load fonts or similar static assets from third-party CDNs (for example Google Fonts and Font Awesome). When your browser fetches those assets, it makes a request to that provider's servers. Their privacy policy covers any data collected in that request. You can block such requests in your browser if you prefer, though appearance may change.

Alder CRM product (workspaces and sign-in)

When you sign in to Alder CRM, we use essential session cookies scoped to .aldercrm.com so authentication at auth.aldercrm.com can continue into your organisation’s workspace (for example {organisation}.aldercrm.com). Without these cookies, the service cannot keep you signed in securely.

We may also use first-party cookies or similar storage for session security and limited product analytics inside the admin interface. Where first-party product analytics are used, they are configured to avoid geocoding and to mask IP addresses.

The iOS companion app uses the same web session model inside a WebView; it does not add a separate advertising or tracking cookie stack.

Outreach emails

Emails we send to charities under our direct-outreach programme (see our Privacy Policy, Section 5) contain a tracking image and tracked links that record whether the email was opened or a link was clicked. This works like a cookie in that it stores or accesses information in connection with your device, so we mention it here as well as in our Privacy Policy, where you can read what is recorded, what it is used for, and how to avoid it.

Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers allow you to control how cookies are handled. You can typically:

• View cookies stored on your device
• Delete all cookies or cookies from a specific site
• Block cookies from specific domains
• Enable "Do Not Track" settings

Blocking essential session cookies will prevent you from staying signed in to Alder CRM.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology, legal requirements, or practices. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
